Working with Smart Insurance Deals

What does this site actually do?
We are an insurance lead generation company. You answer one set of questions, and licensed agents and carriers in our network follow up with prices. We do not underwrite, issue or service policies.
Is it free?
Yes. Comparing rates costs nothing. We are paid by the agents and carriers who receive requests, never by you.
Who will contact me, and how?
Licensed agents from our network, by the method you selected — email, phone or text. You can tell any of them to stop contacting you at any time.
How fast will I hear back?
Usually within one business day. Some lines, particularly Medicare during enrollment season, can take slightly longer.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. Many people compare, learn they are already priced fairly, and stay with their current carrier.
How do I opt out or have my information removed?
Email [email protected] and we will deactivate your information. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Will quoting affect my credit score?
No. Insurance quoting does not involve a hard credit inquiry.
Are you affiliated with the government or Medicare?
No. We are a private company. We are not connected to Medicare, CMS or any government agency.

Auto insurance

Do I have to switch carriers?
No. Many people compare, find they are priced fairly, and stay put.
Will this affect my credit?
Quoting does not involve a hard credit pull.
How many agents will contact me?
Only agents licensed for auto in your state, and only those matched to your profile.

Home insurance

Do I need flood coverage?
Standard policies exclude flood. An agent can tell you whether your zone needs it.
Can I bundle with auto?
Yes, and agents in the network will usually quote both when you ask.
Is renters covered here?
Yes, choose condo or renters in the first step of the questions.

Life insurance

Do I need a medical exam?
Many policies up to moderate amounts are now issued without one.
How much coverage is right?
A common starting point is debts plus several years of income replacement.
Can I be declined?
Yes, but agents can direct you to carriers that underwrite your situation.

Medicare

Is this a government site?
No. We are a private company that connects you with licensed agents.
Do all plans cost money?
Some Advantage plans carry a zero-dollar premium, though other costs apply.
Can I switch later?
Yes, during annual enrollment or a qualifying special enrollment period.

Final expense

Can I be turned down?
Some policies accept nearly everyone, with a limited benefit early on.
Is there a medical exam?
Usually not. Most final expense policies are simplified issue.
Who receives the money?
The beneficiary you name, and they decide how it is spent.
Still have a question?
Send us a note and a person will answer, usually within one business day.
